Introducing CarExpert

CarExpert.com.au is Australia’s newest and fastest growing automotive publication.
CarExpert was founded by Anthony Crawford, Alborz Fallah and Paul Maric in early 2020 and is part of a larger publishing group called Expert Media.
After spending almost 15 years working on, building and then selling CarAdvice.com to Nine Entertainment Group, the three of us realised that we weren’t aligned with the direction CarAdvice was heading in under its new leadership.

We decided to pull the pin on CarAdvice in late 2019 and then started Expert Media, with CarExpert being the first publication under its ownership.
Since starting CarExpert, the organisation has grown from the three of us to employing just under 20 full-time staff located in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
We successfully raised over $3 million in funding during the global pandemic to cement our position in the industry and hire the best journalists, developers and sales staff in Australia.
Since launching under 12 months ago we have created a publication that reaches over 1 million unique visitors each month, has over 60,000 subscribers on YouTube and consistently outperforms our Australian competition each month in terms of views and subscriber growth.
What sets us apart from the competition though is our strict policy of no display advertising and no sponsored content.
Display advertising dilutes authenticity and blurs the lines between genuine authentic content and content that has a paid place on a website.
Sponsored content takes that one step further and offers readers a biased, untrustworthy and unreliable body of words that doesn’t help with buying a new car.
But, that’s not all. We have massive plans in the medium and long term, so watch this space as the CarExpert brand evolves and moves beyond just internet publishing.
